OptionShaker is an educational tool. The examples, the calculations and the author's benchmarks (for instance 21 to 45 days, a 25% or higher return, a cushion of more than 5%) are there to learn; they are not investment advice nor a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

Options are complex products

Selling an option can lose far more than the premium collected. A sold put can force you to buy the shares at the strike, even if their price has collapsed.

The calculations are models

The calculator relies on the Black-Scholes model, without dividends, with exercise at expiry. Real markets can differ, especially for American-style options, which can be exercised at any time.

Before any order, check your broker's terms and only risk what you can afford to lose.
